While AI certainly has its uses in environmental work, only embodied creatures who love particular places can enter the relationship of love and responsibility that authentic stewardship requires. My latest article in Notre Dame’s Church Life Journal, co-authored with Sam Shephard of Ave Maria University, explores why. As co-director of my current institution’s Center for Integral Ecology, it was a blessing to put this together with a wonderful biologist engaged in parallel work at my alma mater.
