Care for Creation Begins Close to Home

Providentially timed up with the release of my Cosmic Covenant book from Word on Fire, my latest column at Catholic World Report reflects on why care for creation begins with conversion of heart and attention to the people, creatures, and places closest to us. Drawing on recent popes, St. Augustine, and the recently-deceased Wendell Berry (R.I.P.), I argue that Christian stewardship must take root in the particular corner of creation God has entrusted to our care. I was happy with how it turned out and hope you derive benefit from it.

For more content, check out the follow-up discussion I had with Marcus Peter at Ave Maria in the Afternoon. Ever the cordial and professional interviewer, Marcus’s questions got right to the heart of things. Enjoy!
